Wisconsin is home to Castle Rock Lake, one of the many beautiful lakes found in the Midwest. Castle Rock Lake, technically a flowage, was created in 1951 and claims some of the best fishing found in Wisconsin. Castle Rock Lake has a few regulations that should be considered before heading out on the water. The following regulations are specific to Castle Rock Lake:Castle Rock Lake Map

  • There is a daily bag limit of one Northern Pike with a minimum length of 32”
  • There is a minimum length for Walleye and Sauger of 15”
  • Walleye and Sauger between 20-28” may not be kept
  • Only one Walleye or Sauger may be kept over 28” per day
  • Motor trolling is permitted on Castle Rock Lake
  • Upstream from Castle Rock Dam there is a minimum length for Muskellunge of 45”
  • Hook and line fishing is open all year on Castle Rock Lake except for Muskellunge, Lake Sturgeon, Trout, Paddlefish, and any endangered or threatened fish species
