Burr Oak Winery is located on highway 12 and 16 midway between Mauston and New Lisbon WI. Since 1997, family-owned, Burr Oak Winery has created a wide variety of award-winning, estate-grown table and dessert wines. Their wine selection consists of red, white and dessert or apertif wines many with names derived from the locality like their Castle Rock Red and White.
The glaciated soils found in Juneau County Wi offers Burr Oak Winery & Kennedy Vineyards offers a unique soil type especially great for growing premium wine grapes. This attribute makes Burr Oak Winery unique among Wisconsin wine makers. As many must bring their grapes in from other areas of the country. It’s with this pride that Burr Oak Winery has cultivated their grapes to stand on par or above wineries from all over the nation.
Reminiscent of Tuscany, the grounds feature an outside dining area, inside tasting area and shop. The farm and its buildings have recently undergone renovation make one feel like you could be enjoying a glass of wine in Italy. Visitors may enjoy Wine Tasting daily in their tasting room. It’s always a fun time to sample what the rolling hills of Wisconsin produce. These are wines made of grapes that have never left the hill till you take that bottle of wine home.
The Gift Shop offers great finds in wine related and other items. Cheese and sausages are available for sale to have with that bottle of wine.
