Oh!Arts Cooperative in Mauston is a Gallery and Learning Center, started by a group of artists who had been friends for decades. They decided to draw on their talents and the amazing talents of others around them to create a community of creativity. A place for artists to create and teach. And the perfect place for you to buy an unusual gift, commission a piece of art for your home, listen to music, indulge in a massage— and learn their visual, musical and soulful secrets.
The gallery is located at 215 E. State St. in downtown Mauston, across from the courthouse in the Masonic Temple Building.
The gallery is still shaping up but classes have started. Every Tuesday evening there are life drawing sessions. Glass painting, guitar lessons, photography, acrylic painting, massage classes, jewelry making, there’s an interesting mix of classes sure to put a little creativity in your life.
Many of the original 2-D art pieces displayed in the gallery will be available to print-on-demand in the size you desire. If you need a photograph restored or printed, Oh! Arts has the answer.
Have a decorating wish for your home or business, a mural or faux finish? Want to find an artist to draw your home or paint a portrait? Need an artist for a paint party or face painting event? Have an idea for a specially designed gift? One-on-one art lessons? Come to Oh!Arts and let them help you find the best artist to help.
Plans are to have artists working on projects, so community members and visitors can learn some of the secrets and understand the processes. Daily facebook posts will announce the project and artist available that day.
Further plans include dinners in conjunction with art openings and live music.
