Can you donate a few hours to help us grow tourism volunteering in Greater Mauston?
We need volunteers to chaperone our life-size standup figure of Aldo Leopold around the county as part of our Where’s Aldo tourism campaign, which begins in May and runs through June.
Greater Mauston and Juneau County EDC are joining forces to bring more visitors to the area with this campaign, which started May 1st. The campaign embraces our ‘Naturally Connected’ lifestyle and celebrates the life of one of America’s greatest conservative icons.
Throughout May and June, there will be scheduled Where’s Aldo events that will last a few hours up to several. Hosting for these events is optional.
There also will be a calendar where volunteers can sign up as their schedules allow. Sign up here to get started.
Volunteers should have transportation that is able to carry your ‘large’ mascot, which is about 4 feet wide by 6 feet tall. All events are within Juneau County.
Help us tap in to the tourism potential for your area and have some fun taking an active part in the Where’s Aldo campaign. The success of the campaign depends on local participation. We need you!
Other ongoing opportunities are available, too. We have started writer and photography clubs that will help attract potential visitors and help visitor’s get around Juneau County once they arrive.
Just let us know what you're interested in helping with and we'll get you started.
